X^0=X^(1-1)=X^1*X^(-1)=X/X
i guess mathematically we can define X^0=X/X
this will then be valid even for X=0 😛

0^0=0/0; it's really that simple.
 
it's not though 🙂

consider the function x^y
x cannot be zero when y is some integer less than zero. x can be anything but zero.
so really it makes no sense to say 0^0=0^(1-1)=0*0^(-1) because 0^(-1) is bad.
