Is it odd for me to buy games I wouldn't have other wise bought if it were not for yhatzi saying they were ok'ish - good

I bought no more hero's based on this and it was a game I liked very much despite the flaws and I just got amnesia the dark descent based off of the review and its very enjoyable, Now im not saying I dislike every game he dose I just seem to go out and get games he says are good and he so far has yet to be wrong based on my tastes so that leads me to my question dose anyone else here make game perches decisions based off of internet/tv personality's that say a game is good and or bad

If Yahtzee says a game is "almost but not completely terrible," it's probably a must-buy. He also has similar tastes to mine (doesn't like JRPGs, puts emphasis on single player).

I definitely use reviews to decide whether to buy a game or not, but I always read the reviews rather than just using the score. Scores are worthless. Game companies buy them. And there are a few games I know I'll want unless the reviews are really bad.

I usually agree with Yahtzee, but his reviews are just for fun. Dont ever take them seriously. Use your own judgement for buying a game.

well of-course as I said I don't refuse to buy games he dislikes I know he makes his cash off of negativity all im saying is his positive reviews reflect the gems of the gaming universe such as silent hill 2 portal No More Hero's and earth bound he is obviously obsessed with new content and is tired of the "Mc-game's" that have been coming out the past few years
