Put PC in walk-in closet, drilled small hole in wall and ran cables to monitor and long USB cable to USB hub! 😉 😉

Now PC is even cooler too, because it is about 30 degrees colder in my closet! Because there is a window to outside, which although not open, there is no source of heat in my walk-in closet, so it gets very cold in there. I use it for storage and pretty much never go in there anyway. 🙂

yes, but in this city it is winter 8 months of the year, then summer gets relatively toasty (around 80 and the rare 89 degrees... maybe one or two days at 90...) and I can bring it out and put in front of the AC unit 😛 But winter is only beginning, so we've got all winter to go! We only just hit 32 recently (rarely gets much colder than that all winter though).

p.s. UPDATE: Now my closet is almost the same temperature as my room because of the PC... even though a very big closet... thinking about opening the window! 😛😛😛 😉😉😉

I do this with my HTPC. It's in AV closet and instead of paying lots for small case or a high end cooling option I used a 29$ antec300 and stock intel cooler for 3570k based HTPC.

My friend used to hang his PC tower from a fire ladder outside his dorm window when I was in college (as long as there was no snow). <0C ambients made for a lot of overclocking fun on his Q6600 G0.

You could drill diagonally through the door frame through the wood on the hinge side, which no one would guess you did when right before moving out you patched it using drywall spackle and repainted it the same color. Moreover, with this method you also don't have to worry about any potential wires because there aren't any wires in the solid door frame 😉

God idea putting it outside. Not an option however in my rainy city where it rains 300 days of the year 😉 Even if under an overhang, the air moisture would be very bad for the computer insides.

I wonder if anyone has tried to put their PC in the fridge? 😉 lol now that's an idea 😉
