Greetings all,

I am working on a project with some friends where we are making a tablet PC with the VIA Eden motherboard and some other stuff (Wacom tablet, etc).
The problem I am having is in regards to an LCD screen. We have some broken laptops and we ideally want to salvage a screen from there. I am thinking possibly to just wire the ribbon cable connection into the VGA on the Eden. However, I don?t know if that will take some alterations. I do not want to get involved with any signal transformation or anything like that. Any ideas? Or does anyone know of any resources I could look into for more information on this type of thing?

Thanks!

Most laptop lcds use proprietary connections to the motherboard. I would start by searching for information on whatever salvage laptops you have for wiring schematics, etc. However, I know this question has been asked here before and the general consensus is that it's not very feasible.
