Zen 7 tape‑out is planned for late 2026 or early 2027, and we probably won't see products on shelves until 2028 or later.

Not sure I buy into the concept that they somehow need a multi layer core to get more IPC, unless it's just about reducing IO wire lengths between certain parts of the core.

Isn't it just a way of increasing cache sizes at same cost...

What a joke. Far too early for this. MLID got exposed a couple years ago by saying crap that was made up by people and he took the bait.

This stuff... LOL

I could buy them doubling L2 to 2MB and moving all L3 off the CCD and onto a cache die for high end desktop/premium luggable/TR/Epyc and further separating their mainstream and mobile monolithic parts to a more traditional setup.

SMT4 baybeeee

LoL that guy, I forget his name. Oh wait, I think I just recalled it. He was on Extremetech before that site went to crap. He just shortened it. Now, nobody bothers with Extremetech. It's the Xbitlabs of the modern era. The guy who runs the site is a turd. Then Joel left and it went to 💩 .

Ugh, too early the US of A might not even have 50 states by the time Zen7 comes out,

I doubt it. If my old memory serves me well both the state and the rest of the states have to both approve of succession. Barring of course a civil war which hopefully nobody wants. I hope to see the launch of Zen 7.

Seemed to be implying something explicitly separate from mere X3D V cache SKUs.
Yeah, all of the L3 cache on the doe freeing up space for more L2 on the CCD. So overall more cache rather than adding L3 on top of L3. So, more cache overall and more cost effective. Was my read...

There might be more? 😱

ngl with the less than mind blowing perf uplift of Zen5 after years of hype I'm starting to feel that someone is trying to generate that kind of pre release hype train here.

It's MLID and if you ask me Zen 7 is EOY 2028 at best
AM6 and Zen7?
Likely
