Guiess that there s something for all budgets, (relatively) low cost should be from Asrock and Biostar, the latter generaly release only cheap MBs.

What do you reckon will those Asus Crosshair boards cost? Extreme and Hero?
Seems to be only ones from those revealed to have 2x pci-e 16x slots at least 4 slots away. The others have either 3 or actually one more at the bottom of the board, but that one is probably not even 8x. Crucial thing this for me.

Personally, what I am looking for is excellent power delivery, since I run mine @100% 24/7/365. One PCI16 is fine with me (and a full speed M.2 slot.)

Planet3DNow. It's amazing that site is still around. I remember it from when I had a K6-2 with the 3DNow! instruction set. That was 23 years ago.

I am collecting parts for my Zen4 build. I have not settled on a cpu yet but if the 7950 is around 700-800 I might go for it. Currently I have a case, a 3090Ti, 7 fans and water cooling from corsair. I will buy the CPU, MD, memory and power supply all in one chunk. I plan a week to assemble, cable manage and build the custom loop. I am going to pressure test the loop for 2 days before I add the liquid. The colors will be black and red.

3DNow! was AMDs attempt at capturing the instruction set marketing buzz Intel introduced with MMX in the late 90s. It died and was even eliminated from all modern CPUs. Yet the site lives on.

Anyway, I'm going to hold on to my extra DDR5 memory kit until Zen 4 arrives. I'll have a wider market to sell to.

Could end up costing the same as the CPU (7950X), or even more. Tight supply will make things even worse. I'm guessing Asus will make something like 100,000 units of these mobos. Those premium components can't be easy to source.

It was meant as a joke, i m aware about 3DNow ISA, actually it superseeded MMX and worked very well (since it allowed for two MUL or two ADD in a single cycle), so much that Intel came with SSE as a response one year later.

Btw a reduced set of 3DNow (3dnowprefetch) was used by Intel in their small cores Atom-Bay-Trail E3815 / Celeron N2830.

Uh, really? I thought these client mobos were like 500 USD/EUROs top. Anyway, i dont need the extreme one, the Hero would do, but hopefully the price for that one wont be as steep as you suggest.

Will the X670 chipset be in the same class and the X570 chipset for the upcoming Ryzen 7000 motherboards or will I have to go for the X670E? In my next upgrade I don't want to cheap out on the motherboard as I think that is why I have some USB issues with a few USB devices on my B550 based motherboard. I priortize compatibility and stability. I will probably up my budget to $400 for a motherboard when I upgrade to a new system later this year. Only reason why I chose a B550 chipset motherboard for my current system was because almost all the X570 motherboards at the time I purchased my motherboard had a fan on the chipset except the Asus Dark Hero X570, which was out of my budget (I didn't want to spend over $400 on a motherboard even though I had the funds).

I have several x570 boards and NO usb issues. I have it with one x470, but not with 570. You don't need to spend $400 on a good AM4 board, and I doubt that you will have to spend that on an X670 either.
