Ugh, cell shading graphics are ugggglyyyy. They really tried to appeal to the younger audience with this one.

*shudders @ the cartoons*

Yep, Gamecube is for the youngins. Just like this scene from a Gamecube game

I just finished the third dungeon. :) It's getting good.

I'd have to say that it?s better than Prime, only because I like the Zelda theme more than Metroid.

doooood, slow down man... you gotta cherish the game :p a new one only comes every 2 years or so

Oh no! You have to READ!

I love the way everything is done in the game. It's so darn, dare I say? Charming. Zelda forever!

I spent a good long time just watching the game before I even started doing things at Outset Island. Just watch the seagulls for a while, and it's easy to appreciate the level of detail that the game has.

A lot of the reviews have said that the game is too easy, but I have to admit that the first boss took me apart a few times before I figured out what was going on. Oops.

Other things I noticed:

When you use the spyglass, there's actually a slight delay as your view comes into focus.

If you stand behind a torch and look at the room beyond, there's heat distortion.

Once while in combat with two enemies, I did a sideways dodge jump when one of the creatures took a swing at me. It actually missed me and hit his ally and knocked him down.

My only problem with the game so far has been because I actually played some of the Zelda Master Quest bonus disc first and got used to using the C-stick instead of X/Z/Y for the configurable item buttons.

I put in a couple hours last night. It's a really good looking game. Everything seems to be well thought out and executed nicely. The story seems to be enjoyable and the gameplay is great. I'm looking forward to getting more into it this weekend.

To the people that own it and really like it so far: were you skeptical before you got it? I mean were you one of those that was disappointed with the cel-shading and cartoony/ toddler Link when you saw the first gameplay videos? Because I am one of those people and before I run out and get a GC for this game I want to make sure it's not too kiddish or stupid.

This game is simply beautiful. The game just captures your heart right from the beginning and doesn't let go. You will understand better when and if you actually play it. This game to me seems a lot more fun than OOT even if easier. There's something about it that makes you just want to keep going. Truly a masterpiece.

Eternal Darkness can be had for a mere $20 at Gamestop/Babbages/Funcoland. Helluva deal for a great game!

I second the call as a masterpiece. Truly deserves to be recognized as one of the greatest games of all time. Amazing stuff.
