That's a huge difference, I can't wait. I sprained my right hand pretty badly on Monday so this will have to wait a few more days. Today is the first day I can somewhat type or use a mouse.

Dunno, I was in the Korok Forest and the performance was nowhere near the quality in that video. I'm betting that video was taken from the portable mode. I was playing in docked mode and it was still pretty bad.

It was weird, I didn't even update Zelda, but I did update my system, and when I loaded Zelda back up it was 1.1.1 so it must have downloaded it in the background or something.

Korok forest still slows down near the master sword platform, but it's much improved. Other than that, I don't notice slow down anywhere else in docked mode.

In case you guys that own the game want to play in 1440p or 4k on a emulator, here is the link to the Cemu version 1.7.4b emulator that runs great.
https://uploadfiles.io/32f9f1

You will need to have a ripped copy of the game .

If you update the emulator to 1.7.4b the game should run smooth with a i5 6600+ and a Nvidia gpu gtx960+or faster recommended.
AMD gpu's do not work at this time.

If this is against the rules feel free to delete but I thought it was ok if you owned the game already.

It doesn't look very smooth from what I have seen:

Plus any game you play on CEMU is filled with massive stutters while the texture cache is being built. That emulator is still a long ways from being a viable way to play Wii-U games.

There are settings and hacks that will make it run at 30 fps @ 4k.
You need a Intel 4 core cpu @ 3.5+ and a recent Nvidia 4gb gpu like a gtx960.
AMD gpu's do not run well.

Look in the description for the proper settings and downloads to make it work well.

I can't seem to get my Wii U version of BoTW to update to 1.1.1. Selecting the game in the menu starts it but gives no option to update it. About all I can can check to update manually is the system software which is up to date. Everything else is set to automatic and I tested my connection configuration to make sure there were no hiccups. It still says 1.1.0 in the game menu and I'm lacking the 1.1.1. options.

This past weekend I got to 76 shrines then I looked up how many there were, and was like holy shit 120! So I've decided to use a guide to get all of them. I said I wouldn't even bother but I dunno, I have fun with shrines and the shrine quests. Even if I use the guide it's still fun. I'm mainly using it just to find the location of them but if there is a shrine quest or something that I have to do in order to activate it, I try to figure it out myself. I'm up to like 87 shrines now I think.

Man some of the shine quests are just genius in the way you activate them, especially the ones that incorporate the time of day. There is no way I would have figured out a handful of these on my own, especially the ones dealing with the time of day.

It's supposed to be automatic and done in the background from what I've read. This both on the Wii-U and switch. I can't confirm, cause I sold my Wii-U and haven't been able to find a reasonably priced switch for the last couple weeks.

Can confirm my WiiU version updated on its own. Version is listed on the bottom right of the loading screen.

So it might be weird, but I purchased NFC tags on eBay for Wolf Link (20 hearts) and for the (Link - Majoras Mask Amibio) Fierce Deity Armor and sword. I don't really care to have the figurines, just the goodies that come with them. I already beat the game, but there's still a ton to do.

Yeah I had them all unlocked but there was one I couldn't complete early on because I didn't have a weapon to use. Took me a long ass time to realize that one of the shrines on my map was orange and not blue.

I got to the island gliding there not using a boat. That was a pretty fun shrine quest though. There are a lot of really thoughtful and smart shrine quests.

I don't see anywhere in the Wii U that will tell me how love I've played sadly. But it still feels as though I've barely scratched the surface. I just beat the third spirit beast a moment ago. Goron city can go blow itself.

Switch says I have over 50 hours and I've only beaten two Divine Beasts. I don't think I'm ever going to finish this game.
I might actually finish it this weekend. I just have been putting off facing Ganon because I know I won't go back to the game after I beat him, but I don't think there is really anything else I want to do in the game. I mainly wanted to get 120 shrines but I don't know if I really care about all of the side quests or anything at this point. I have gone back to playing Uncharted 4 in my spare time so that is a sign that I'm kind of ready to be done with Zelda I think. And I've been playing GEM a little but not as much as I thought I would. I may this weekend though.

I struggled a bit with the zora dungeon but I cruised through death mountain and the flying one. I find it strange that armor designed to protect me from magma hot heat from a volcano isn't up to protecting me in the desert.

Anyone get the alternate ending yet?

The Great Book of Knowledge (aka Google) tell me that you need...

At least four 'levels' or full spheres of stamina to catch the royal steed.
Fortunately, any taming that you do seems to stay even if you get thrown off as long as you catch the horse again quickly and continue the taming. I caught the white beauty for my wife when she had less than two full stamina circles and did get thrown off once but successfully tamed it before running out of stamina the second time (no stamina food used).
