Zealot Hockey

This is an SC2 Arcade mod, that I've been playing recently - and quite a lot.
It's essentially 4v4 ice hockey and really shines because it has very simple 6-button controls (lmb, rmb, z,x,c,v,g are all you need), simple mechanics and yet allows for technical and tactical prowess to shine.

So, although it's simple to learn, even after playing a few hundred matches (which last around 20 minutes each), there's still quite a skill gap to the better players, but also a gulf to not only newbies, but less experienced players in general.

Public games can be a bit imbalanced occasionally because there's no matchmaking, and you also get the occasional leaver, but when there's a good match, it's really fun, even if you end up losing.

And even better, you can play it for free, using the sc2 start edition

Zealot hockey can be played casually through Starcraft 2's public arcade system. For those more hardcore gamers, private games called "inhouses" are hosted daily on both the North American and European battle.net servers. To play in or spectate inhouse games, join the zealot hockey group in your Starcraft 2 client and type in "1" to play in an inhouse or "2" to spectate and inhouse.

You can also check out the zealot hockey twitch page, where league, tournament, and inhouse games are frequently live streamed. All past broadcasts from the Zealot Hockey stream are saved and can be viewed as well.
