Zboard worth getting?

I don't personally own one... I thought about getting one when I first saw them way back when but didn't really see a need given the fact that I already had a working keyboard. Could it help, yeah... maybe... but thats not to say that a normal keyboard wouldn't suffice.

Anyhow TomsHardware just had a gaming keyboard roundup and the review for the ZBoard seemed favorable overall:

I had one and the keys on it would stick fairly often. A friend of mine had one as well and his did the same. I ended up trashing it and replacing it with a reliable logitech.

I bought a 2nd gen board from Fry's for $50 then I found the 1st gen from Link from the Hot Deals Forum for $10.

I am wondering if the revision 2 is worht the extra money or if I should take a shot at the older model?

Anyone know if the included gamepad will be programable to for newer games or will you have to buy each keyset in order to get full functionality?

When I bought Doom 3 it came with a dedicated Zboard keyset which I thought was a complete ready to go unit not knowing that it required a separate Zboard base (who says ignorance is bliss!?). Before spending more $ I've been checking around for various user reviews (which I shoulda done before).

The Zboard Version2 is reported to be a significant improvement over V1, but at $50 it better be! Anybody know of any better deals out there?

I've been finding along the way that the Belkin Nostromo Speedpad n52 ( F8GFPC100 ) seems to get as good if not better user reviews.

For my limited Quake and Doom playing I'm still not sure what's the best input device although I get a lot of laughs when I admit to using a keyboard and trackball (Kensington Expert Mouse Pro).
