Got to watch it on a special screening here at the National Film Theatre, London.

This movie kicks Kill Bill's ass left, right, and center.

Takeshi Kitano is such a badass.

I think the US release is slated for June 4th. Hope most you guys don't mind foreign flicks especially sweet Samurai movies such as this.
 
Hana-bi (Fireworks) was great, and the review of this on IMDB looks good:

"The only film I saw in the month of November 2003 was the `remake' of Zatoichi? Sorry it is not a remake, it is the rebirth of this enigmatic hero... Those who know Japanese cinema of the 60's and the 70's will all remember the Zatoichi series...Those films were all good and some better than other. . . . . "
 
Mmm I wanna see Zatoichi so bad, I doubt it will come here though. I'll definitely get it on DVD. I :heart: Takenshi Kitano

Victoria, BC, Canada. They might play it at the University, they usually play foreign's there. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled
