zapped now games r freezing

My System is p4 2.66, ga-8ihxp mb , 512 800 rambus, 550watt ps namebrand just forgot it( true ?) ,ti4600 ,40 gig wd 7200 rpm,win xp home all updates, went to turn on my system and seen a spark go from my finger to the on button,ever since then my games are freezing up for about 10 to 15 sec then the game will resume, it will happen on all my games every thing from majjong to lord of the rings to chaser . its a shame this computer has been rock solid for 6 months but stuff happens any help would be appriciated pjg

Is the fan on the video card still working..? If so, can you try another video card and see if the problem goes away..

That is weird. Isn't your computer grounded? You didn't even touch the pc parts directly. Try reformatting, could be software related.

thanks for your help when i moved my computer thats when i got shocked thats when the video card fan must have fallen off just hanging on one side thanks again pjg
