I'm interested in getting the ZM-MFC1 and am wondering is it powerful enough to drive a 80mm, a 92mm and two 120mm fans? The wattage per channel is only 7 on this whereas Vantec and Sunbeam are in the 15-20W per channel.

I'm leaning towards this as it comes with extension cables, a big plus.

Can anyone else recommend me another fan controller that comes with extension cables?

Also, will this controller let me close my front panel on my Antec Sonata?

Thanks!

Take a look at the DigiDoc 5+. It's not quite as high on the geekometer as the ZM but it gets the job done and more. I ordered a bunch of 3-pin extensions thinking I'd need them for a full tower with 6X80mm and 2X120mm, and I've used ONE. It's faceplate is very flat too.

Well I will throw my 2 cents in here since i have owned both the Zalmann and the AerogateII

The Aerogate was a nice controller and certain was flashy... it worked well but I didn't really care for the controls much. If you are wanting the temp probes as well then I have hardly seen anything that combines the function and looks of the Aerogate...

however.....

I brought my Zalmann out of retirement and have been using it... i sold the Aerogate..... the Zalmann has run everything i have thrown at it even a High Output Panaflo (yes the 34mm wide ones that look like a mini box fan) when hooked up to the manual switches...... be careful if you are running anything that large though... I wouldn't reccomend it... but it will run all of my Delta 92mm's and a tornado without issue...... hwever it isn't as flashy and certainly does only one thing... not multiple things like the aerogateII..

good luck and enjoy!
