Zalman vs. AS5

Anyone know if the thermal paste that comes with the zalman VF700_cu and the CNPS7000 is any good? Or should I wait to get some Arctic Silver 5?

the paste that comes with the zalman is okay....but you should diffenitely wait for the AS5.

Sorry that is not true at all!!

You will notice no difference between the Zalman thermal paste and the AS5!!

I used both on my system.
I installed my Zalman 9500 the first time using the zalman thermal paste!
I took ambient room temp readingas as well as reading after installing the heat sink!!

I also did the same thing with AS5 and my Zalman 9500.

There was no noticeable difference in the Heatsink temps.
They were both the same!!

Go ahead and use the Zalman thermal paste!!

It's not bad stuff at all, probably the equivalent of ArcticAlumina, or maybe even Ceramique.

Any decent brand goop will work plenty well enough as long as it is applied properly.
