Looks - CNPS9500 (IMO)

You cant go wrong with either, so decide whats most important and go with it.

To Acegazda:
Freezer 7 pro has about identical performance to the F64 Pro. Should be very close to the Scythe Mine and a bit worse than the Ninja.

To the OP:
I don't think the performance of the Zalman 9500 is justified by its high price. The Freezer 7 should be good for your needs, and if you want a more powerful HSF look to the Scythe Ninja, which is better than the 9500 anyway. (Cheaper too)

I have a Freezer 64 Pro in my system and my parents have a Freezer 4 in their Northwood P4 system. Both have worked very well and are very quiet when hooked up to a fan controller. My parents' computer actually idles in the low 30C range (that's usually AMD territory 😉)

Agreed!

Zalmans look better though. Personally, I don't like flower fan aesthetics, but a LOT of ppl do. They're instantly recognizable, and a status symbol, of sorts, like, "Sweet, you got a Zalman in there, huh?" then "Wow! you got two Zalmans! How much did those set you back?"

Freezers are a kludge. In other words, no bragging rights! However, from a price/performance perspective, they're pretty hard to beat!
