I bought one for my 7900GT and it brought my temps down by more than 10C. My card which is overclocked used to run at 56C and after I installed the Zalman VF900-CU, my temps are at 42C. I also have an Audigy 2 ZS and have nor problems with the HS and the sound card being so close. I recommend getting one.

My rig is in my sig, but I am using an A8N32-SLI mobo. Yes, you can use that mobo connection for your Zalman......

The x1900xt makes waaaay too much heat for a vf900. Temps will probably jump 10c over the stock cooler at worst, since the vf900 can't keep up with the x1900xt

The performance of the vf900 is dependent on how your mobo is oriented and what kind of airflow you have around the card. If you have a normal ATX case with the mobo upright and not much airflow in the card area then the vf900 won't do well (same with the accelero). If you have a fan over the cards then you have no trouble, or if the mobo is upside-down that allows the heat to rise away from the card. So they do work fine on X1900 series cards, but just dependent on case and airflow layout.
