Ahhh I didn't realize it was that cheap at newegg. I wast looking at their price on the LED version for some reason.

the vf900 comes with ramsinks... at least the retail version does... the tech spec on dells page seems to say that they are included... and it works great on the 8800gt... 10c cooler at max and virtually silent...

the hardocp review of the zalman for use on an 8800gt said that while it did come with some heatsinks, it didn't have enough to cover all the mosfets. If they've changed that since then so there's enough, that's even better :)

They have not. You will still need extra sinks for the mosfets...if you want to sink the mosfets. In all honesty, I wouldn't bother sinking the memory or the mosfets/VRMs unless you plan to overclock. As long as there's airflow over the card, they'll stay cool enough.

FWIW, these GPU coolers cannot be run in an SLI config without modification to the 4 backing bolts that hold the heatsink in place (don't ask why I know that ... )

thanks OP for posting this! The following has nothing to do with OP but Dell's rep in my eyes is pretty low right now after their indefinite postponement of 8800GTs I ordered.

Hmmm, I have 2x Asus 8800GT's in SLI with a VF900 on both with ramsinks. I didn't have any issues. Keep in mind though, you'll lose the slot directly underneath the card, as it is larger than stock.
