Zalman VF700-Cu Mini Review

MDE

Lifer
I got my VF700-Cu last night and installed it on my BFG 6800GT. Temps dropped from 63\75 to 55\70 (idle\load) with the fan at 5V it's inaudible and cools just as well (if not better) than the NV5 Silencer, plus it doesn't block my SATA ports 🙂.

Nice. I am surprised the difference at load is only 5*C though. I'd figure it'd be a little better. I guess BFG stock cooler is decent too. Has this allowed you to overclock the core or memory a little higher?

i really want one of these, but im quite daunted by that massive leadtek slab of copper on mine, i dont know where to start bout taking it off.!!!

i mean the leadtek cooler cools nicley, and its not too loud interms of fan speed, what is annoying though is the little grill above the fan, all you cna hear is the sound of air being sucked through the little holes, and when its full of dust it sounds worse.

i think the zalman would complement my CNPS7000Cu

I haven't pushed it past 420\1100 at all with any of the heatsinks (BFG, NV5, Zalman).
