Hey everyone,

I'm currently in the works for upgrading my cpu (either an prescott 3.2 or 3.4 - 478) and I've read a lot about the zalman 7000 being one of the best heatsinks. Will this fit properly onto the p4c800 and has anyone done it and have any good/bad feedback for it? Thanks in advance

Yeah, the Zalman 7000 is pretty good if you dont overclock if only mildly. Since you have the Asus p4c800, I think u can fit a thermalright xp-120 on that sucker--awesome low temps + great air overclocking.

I have 3 Zalman 7000 AlCu heatsinks on 2 - p4b533e's & 1 - p4c800e. Definitely a great cooler.
Oc'd a 3.06 to 3.4Ghz & the 3.2C to 3.7Ghz.

Temp on the 3.7 is 33C/91F

It is very quiet.. Your case fans will make more noise.

Regards,
Jose

I have a AlCu version on my P4P800 Deluxe on a P4C 2.6G.
It is set to minimum RPM to be quiet, and it is. And it keeps the P4 cool.
I don't know how it will perform on an E.

It's definitely a quiet HSF, especially if you use the (included) fan speed modulator thingy. I'm running one on my 3.0@3.3 Northwood on a P4C800-e and even running full speed it's quieter than my case fans.
