I bought a CNPS7000 AlCu from Frys which had no socket 462 adaptors.. I think it was an opened box. Anyway.. So I dropped a line to Zalman USA and they shipped out the 462 adaptors next day for free. Now *thats* good customer service.

Now that I got it working it's a great cooler. Very very quiet highly recommed, keeping highly OC Athlon XP mobile 2600 @ 2500Mhz @ 50C loaded w/ some AS.🙂

I may go with one of these coolers myself now that I have a larger case. I don't overclock but the quietness of the CNPS hsf is legendary and I'm trying to quiet down my system to a mere whisper.

ps - I'm glad to hear that Zalman is very customer oriented in case I ever need their assistance.

I have their fanless ti4600 heatsink, actually two of them because I have two rigs each with a ti4600 vid card. At their site they have an entirely awesome animated installation video that you play right online. I opened several browser windows while I was doing the installs so each could be in a different stage of the assembly process. Each of them continued in an endless cycle. It was really helpful. I don't find their site as helpful as I'd wish, as I'd like them to have a list of compatible cards for their heatsinks, however I wasn't able to find that. They did specify certain classes of Nvidia cards that don't work with the heatsink, but last time I looked I couldn't even find that.

Yea Zalman customer service is top notch. My friend has the Zalman reserator (as do i) and his internal pump started making funky sounds and not running properly. He called them up and they told him its a known issue in some of the pumps and sent him a brand new one with free shipping. Luckily i havent had that problem but even if i did, i wouldnt worry. Zalman rocks

Yeah Muse...I love their website, and they make awesome products. I love silent computers, and Zalman does even more than just that. They get all my cooling business.

I had a similar experience many years ago with the first Zalman CPU heatsink model. I wanted to use it on a later generation CPU (Tualatin) which required a diff'rent spring-clip due to the added height of the heat spreader. E-mailing Zalman resulted in a quick response from someone unbelievably high-up in the company with a promise to send the required clip, which they promptly did sans charge. I have happily continued to purchase their products ever since.
