Zalman Fanbus

Tiamat

Lifer
I was just wondering what your guy's opinion of this fanbus is. I read some reviews, and they say it is at least a decent fanbus. I dont have any powerful fans, so im not concerned about the relatively low Wattage per line (compared to the 20watts on the sunbeam). Even though the sunbeam is much cheaper, I didnt like the looks of it...

Is the Zalman Fanbus reliable? Ill be lowering the voltages on the 2 stock 120mm fans that come with my superlanboy case, and a panaflo 12L.

BTW, i have the 5.25" Vantec Nexus, and it makes an annoyingly loud buzzing noise whenever I go below say 9Vs on any of the fans.

thx

PS i know there was a thread that pointed towards the superflower, but that only goes to 7V and i would like at least an option to go down to 5V.

I have this fanbus. Its ok, and gets the job done. A few complaints though. First, its put together rather cheap. The side used to screw into the case was a thin piece of metal that ended up breaking, so now I have electrical tape holding it. Also, when you put the knobs all the way down, the blue leds kinda flicker, and it was annoying at first, but I got used to it. All in all, it gets the job done, but I'm sure there's better out there.

Drats... Are there any recommendations for a reliable fanbus that:
1. Is able to deliver down to 5V
2. Wont die in a week
3. Wont break under normal installation
4. Doesnt look tacky
5. Doesnt make any wierd buzzing noises
6. Controls at least 3 fans

I know that this thread is very similar to another one here, but it seems that the more reliable fanbus only go down to 7V which is not a low enough voltage for my needs.

Sorry for the seemingly double thread.
