I just found this on Zalman's page and found it interesting so I thought I would share.

It looks like the same 9500 but with a different non-LED fan that also seems to thermally controlled. The original 9500 was very quiet but the fan was known to have a few issues for those aiming for the lowest possible noise level, hopefully this fan is a bit of an improvement.
 
not bad, but id prefer the regular version. That way you have complete control over the speed and noise of your fan. Thermally controlled fans have potential to be quieter, but can also get really loud if you dont set a speed limit.

depends on the quality of the thermally controlled fan.
Coming from Zalman on there flagship heatsink....
I would have no worries.

Just the name Zalman stands for quality!!
