There is no way to put a temp probe on this heatsink, I called Zalman Tech support, and the guy said to put it between the heatsink and processor.
what are anyone's thoughts on this

Screw the advice, the A64 temp diode should do the job...

The CPU has a built-in temp diode. You should be able to see it in any mobo onitoring software.

Personally, I just stuck my temp probe as far into a pair of fins as close to the CPU as I could get it. You could always (very carefully) Ceramique the probe to the side of the CPU heatspreader as well, but I had the heatsink already mounted.
