was looking for a replacement HSF after botching a removal on an arctic cooling alpine 11 pro :|. Arctic Cooling make some nice coolers, but I REALLY dislike their cheapo plastic mounting parts...

$30 - $10 promo EMCAKNA39 - $20 MIR = $0 + shipping = $5.

In some locations, there's an option to pick up at a nearby newegg center for no shipping charge, so potentially FAR.

Might be helpful for those trying to keep their HSF under 450g.
Most places rate the weight at 438g, but zalman states it's F+HS = 434g + 20g fan controller
and newegg rates it as >450g...

Edit: supports cpus up to 95w tdp

The fan has a 3-pin cpu header which means my motherboard can't control the fan speed.
The HSF comes with a fan mate 2 which has an analog knob for fan speed control.
without the fan speed controller, the fan runs at ~2650 rpm and produces a loud audible hum. With the fan speed controller the speed can be adjusted between ~1300 and ~2400 rpm.
at ~1900 RPM the CPU fan is hard to hear/inaudible over the stock case fans on my Antec 300 illusion.

was able to play borderlands 2 with i7 860 stock around 50C

I had this years ago. It's ok for free. Watch out for the sharp fins.

I wonder if it would fit in my wife's computer. ITX low profile. The stock cooler is slowly dying and is noisy as hell... it needs to be replaced.

Zalman recommmends cpu clearance of 55mm (2.17 in) radius from center of cpu with nothing higher than 39mm (1.54 in).

As per zalman, hsf is 63mm (2.48 in) high (109Lx107Wx63H).
