Zalman CNPS7000BCU vs Zalman CNPS7700CU

Hey all,

i was tossing up between these two coolers. My main expectation from the cooler is cooling (as usual) and of course, a low dB rating. With this, i cannot make up my mind on which cooler to get. Reading up on some reveiws and they show that the 7700CU defeats the 7000CU by 2-3 degrees in stress/load tests. Can you guys please help me with deciding on which cooler to choose?

Btw my mainboard is a Gigabyte GA-8ANXP-D and has more than 6mm clearance as expected from the coolers (space is not much of an issue).

Thanks in advance

Why not get the AlCu version? It's a whole lot lighter & performance difference between the AlCu & Cu versions isn't much if any. BTW if you're not limited to a Zalman selection, I also suggest the Thermalright XP-90 which happens to be on sale right now: See "Hot Deals" forum.

I wouldn't say tehy were better I have the Zalman cnps-7700-cu and I love it. looks pretty damn sweet in the case too IT"S HUGE they are marketing it as more than a cpu cooler its so big it will cool your ram and chipset too.
