I have a K8N Neo2 Platinum, and I'm trying to install the CNPS7000B-AlCu. I looked for some reviews online, and the only one I found was for a P4. I've read the manual and watched the Flash movie on Zalman's site, and the s939 movie doesn't mention how you're supposed to remove the retention bracket. Thus, can anyone tell me how to remove the retention bracket on the bottom of a s939? Is it held together by thermal paste or something? Thanks.

exactly what I did before:thumbsup:
use hairdyer to warm it up, and 4 or 8 pieces of paper as the base to pry using flat head screwdrivers(the paper is used for board protection)

Thanks to Xed and ecvs85.

ecvs85, could you elaborate a little on how you used the paper? Also (anyone), how long should I use the hairdryer on it?

well, I fold a paper to 4 or 8 paper's depth, and use it to slide into the early gap between the plate and the board, and I use the flat head screwdriver to pry it gently, so the paper is acting as a protector because it is between the screwdriver's head and the board.

For the hairdryer, just don't heat it up too much. I heated it up slowly and spend some time in removing that stuff because I don't want to rush it to risk the board. Oh yeah, mine is k8n neo platinum, but I assume the metal backplate at the back of the board is the same.
