akseli,
I don't know about the Sonata, but it fits my Antec 3700-BQE which is very
similar. My mobo is an ASUS P4P800-Deluxe. Hope this helps.

You've asked the wrong question.

First of all, can your mobo use that Zalman S7000 ? Assume your mobo can use the S7000. The next question is how much will the heatsink stuck out of your mobo (towards the psu direction) ? Assume you have measured it. Then you can ask "will my mobo+hsf fit into the Sonata if it stucks out about XX cm ?"

I've just put together a pc using an Asus A7V600 mobo with S7000 AlCu heatsink in a Sonata, no problem. It's because the S7000AlCu stucks out of the mobo a few mm only.

Anyways, I recall that when I built it, the distance between the edge of the mobo and the psu is about 1 cm. I'm not absolutely sure though. Someone (who's not lazy) please confirm. So if the socket on your mobo is close to the edge of the mobo, you will need to take some serious measurement.

Thanks,

What's a "P4P800-GD"? I can't find it listed on Asus' site.

I know that any of the P4P800, 800-Deluxe or 800E- Deluxe will fit into the Sonata with a 7000AlCu mounted on them, but I can't even find the board that you're talking about.

It's the P4P800-DELUXE, for some reason different sites here in spain list it under a different name ... (it uses the PE65 chipset)

Yes, the Zalman 7000AlCu will definitely fit on the P4P800-Deluxe in a Sonata.

Hi,

I don't know any dimensions, but I have a Sonata with an Asus A7N8X deluxe rev 2.0 with an Athlon XP 2600+ and the Zalman CNPS6000 installed. No problem.
