I ordered the 7000b-alcu online recently, and received the 7000-alcu.
I called the store and they said that it was a mistake and they would replace it.
I looked at the 7000-alcu onlne and found some interesting things...

I know that the 7000b is newer but the 7000 has a greater dissipation area, which would lead me to conclude that the older one actually has more cooling capacity!!!

Can anyone confirm this or give me any other information about the differences between them?

I think the b variant was designed for greater socket compatability, although it could be the other way around.
