I have installed a zalman al/cu 7000
on my Asus a7n8x AMD 2500 barton core
before with the stock amd cooler if I
put my finger on the heat sink it felt
warm. I installed the zalman and it
feels cooler to the touch most of the
time I can feel no warmth at all.
But the ASUS probe shows the CPU
temp as being just about the same.
I got worried that I had not installed
it correctly so I took it off and found
a nice spot where the cpu had contacted
the paste and the cooler just fine.
Is the Asus program just reporting
incorrectly? how would you measure
the temp on the CPU? I want to keep the CPU
cool during video rendering. I can
feel the difference why can't ASUSprobe?
