Zalman CNPS Series and Antec Sonata questions

The Superlative

Question 1: How good a cooler is the Zalman CNPS7000B-CU? Anyone have one on a Winchester? What're good temps for a Winchester anyway?

Also, does anyone have the 7700? That thing's a monster; it looks fully capable of destroying unsuspecting motherboards.

Question 2: For Antec Sonata owners -- second 120mm a good idea or unnecessary? I'm thinking Antec thermally controlled, even though it's a $21 fan...

Thanks.

1) It's good but go for the AlCu version. It's cheaper, lighter and performs the same.
2) Not unless you have 3+ hard drives.

#1: Don't know
#2: Probably not. Also, the Sonata has two special "Fan" molex connectors. The power supply will control the speed of 2 case fans based on temperature. I would just use a regular 120mm fan (if you decide to) and let the power supply control the speed.

Using passive fanless cooling on my 5900XT card and AMD's Cool 'N" quiet (along with ASUS Q-fan software fan control), you can barely hear my A64 3200+ system in a Sonata case. The CPU fan actually stops for about 5 minute stretches and kicks on when the processor gets to around 50C. Temperature drops to 30 or so and then kicks back off again.

Antec Sonata + Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe + Zalman CNPS7700 CU = ????

I mailed both Asus and Zalman and they said the mobo and the fan would work, but what about the Sonata?
