I can vouch for this fan that it is flat out awesome!

I have one on my Northwood 2.53Ghz and it's great. Totally silent, not overly large, doesn't exceed the weight requirement for Socket 478 as well as some of the other sockets it works for. If you're overclocking you may want to consider the CU (all copper) instead of the ALCU (aluminum and copper).

I'm running this with zero case fans at the moment (I have some Zalman fans on their way), and depending on the temperature in my room, it idles between 100 and 110 F and on load it's between 125 and 145 (it only hits the higher temperature when my damn roommate turns the heat up to 80, otherwise it's usually around 130). Note, this is with the fan on silent mode. If you turn the speed up to its peak 2800 rpm it makes about a 10 to 15 degree difference.

Before anyone goes off on my temps, understand that I don't have any case fans (the only other fan is a Zalman VF700CU on my 6600gt), so my temperatures will be expectedly higher. I also have a roommate that seems to suffer from hypothermia intermittently. Trust me, it's a GREAT hsf, especially for that price.

Also, installation is easy, at least on a socket 478.
