since i'm staying with intel, i'm interested in upgrading my cooling. i currently have an 8942 with the ys-tech adjustable 80mm (set to the highest setting). the zalman superflower apparently has problems fitting on the EPoX EP-4BDA, so that is out. is the 6500B-Cu better than my Alpha? this is for a 2.4B that i'll be getting tuesday and hopefully overclocking to 3gHz+. if i don't get the zalman, i'll probably get a thermalight SLK-800U. thanks a lot!

so its about as good as the 8942 but quieter? i'm willing to put up with a little noise (my current system is 40 DB or so, and i'm fine with it). does anyone know how the Zalman would do with a larger fan, something in the 92mm 65 CFM?

well, nevermind. it was the EP-4BDA-E that was incompatible, not the EP-4BDA. looks like i'll be getting the 7000.

If you bought a ThermalRight heatsink and stuck your YS Tech adjustie on the top, Id say it would be better at cooling. Unless you start overclocking, the YS Tech should easily keep the cpu cool at lower than max rpm's providing you have a decent airflow.

Just my opinion.
