Zalman 9700 work on a 1155 Motherboard?

I bought a Zalman 9700 about 3 years ago. Will the Intel mount that comes with it (I assume meant for 775) work on the 1155 motherboards?

I thought the 775 mounting holes were different than the 1155/1156 mount. Zalman might offer a mounting kit for it though.

Yeah I saw that....but since it says 1556/1555/775 and it only shows a single bracket...I thought perhaps they were all the same.

1155 and 1156 are exactly the same. 775 is a tiny bit smaller. Some people have had luck with forcing 775 to work, depending on the design of the mounting. Also, some boards have multiple mounts. For instance my Asus P6T board has 1366 and 775 mounts and my wife's EVGA board has 1156 and 775 mounts. Perhaps there are 1155 boards with 775 mounts?

The ASRock boards have the 775 mounting holes.

Zalman's site says it supports it, among many other socket options. It's a great cooler, I've been running 2 without issues for 3 years now.
