Zalman 9700 Cooler

The fan is hooked up to the cpu fan connector on mobo and through the adjustable fan knob. I set the knob to high on initial setup and am now noticing that the fan stops spinning on it's own. Adjustments to the knob does nothing but dim the light. I have it in an Antec900 case with all the case fans set on low. Could it be a bad cooler or just too much "interference" from the other case fans.

Any help is appreciated.

Try hooking it up without using the adjustable fan knob...

Yeah, dump the adjustable knob and go with the HS on full.

Do you have cool 'n quiet (or whatever it's called) enabled in the bios?
