Zalman 7000A-Alcu and Abit KD7

A friend is considering buying a Zalman CNPS7000A-Alcu heat sink. He has an Abit KD7 mobo. Anyone know if the Zalman fits on the motherboard? Any mods needed?

Thanks.

Just check Abits motherboard compatibility list, or have your friend check it. I would also recommend the all copper version, a bit heavier but cools a few degrees better than the hybrid version.

Compatability list on Abit site does not include heatsinks for this mobo. Zalman does not post info on mobo capatability either. *sigh* Wish others were as thorough as Thermalright 🙂 So, question still stands, anyone using this combo?

Well they give you thorough dimensions of the HS, so if you have the MB (which I imagine you do), then you can check for yourself.
