Zalman 7000 with C2D?

Can I use the Zalman 7000cb with a C2D setup based on the DS3 MB? I intend to do some OCing with it and needed to replace the stock cooler and I have a couple of these Zalmans available.

I think 7000 series don't support 775.
But you can buy this and use with conroe.
An Adapter from Newegg.

You should have no problem for "some OC'ing", since it's running pretty cool.

good to know I can reuse my two 7000 series coolers by using that adapter.

heck, even compusa carries the adapter so I can save on shipping.
