Question Z87 Sabertooth Motherboard - Memory Capacity Question

So I have been working on upgrading my aging system which is currently using a Z87 Sabertooth board and a 4770. I bought 2x16GB of G.SKILL Ripjaw DDR3 which is on the QVL for the board to hopefully help out a bit since I was originally using 2x4GB. When I go to install it (trying in both the two beige slots as well as the two black slots) the BIOS and Windows are registering only 2x4GB of memory. I have updated to the latest (2017) BIOS 2032 and that still did not seem to help. Is something where clearing the CMOS might help me out a bit or is there a cap on what I can use for memory in the system? Any help would be much appreciated!

According to the manual I found, it only supports up to 8 GB stcks.

Well that's not great. Maybe I missed something in the QVL list. Time to see if I have any 8gb sticks lying around.

So I found 2x8gb G.Skill Sniper and dropped those in. Still showing up as 2x4gb sticks. Tempted to just pull the CMOS battery and see what happens

Just the two sticks or all 4 installed?

Right. The manual had some other limiting parameters on the memory layout per DIMM.

Yeah, I've tried the sticks in both the beige and black slots as well with no luck.
