I am building a computer to edit large RAW files for photography and some gaming I have everything but the motherboard. What z77 suggestions do you all have? Tia

Vertex 4 128gb ssd
Geforce GTS 450
16gb Corsair Vengeance
4 1tb drives
1 dvd burner
media card reader
23in monitor
2 2tb external drives
430w PSU
Nzxt phantom 410 case
i7 or i5 ivy bridge (depends on cost of motherboard)

Not looking to overclock. Just want something in the $100 price range (give or take some $)

I found this one because I has 8 rear USB ports! What about the power as it only uses a 4 pin instead of 8?

Don't worry about the 4-pin issue.

I'm using the motherboard you linked in my wife's recent build with an i5-2400 overclocked 4-bins. It has been rock solid over the past two weeks and she is liking it.

I'm using the Z77X-D3H (next step up) and it is a 4-pin powered board as well. I fretted over 8-pin vs. 4-pin issue for several days before committing to the D3H over the UD3H (I actually went with this board since it had 8 internal SATA ports). After reading some reviews about the 4-pin Gigabyte boards I was convinced it was nothing to worry about.

You can get away with non Z77 motherboards (like the older H61/H67/P67/Z68) too if you're looking to go cheaper. They'll still work with Ivy Bridges, though I'm guessing with all those HDD's the Z77 will probably come in handy...

You might want to look into the ASRock H77 Pro4. It has 8 sata ports that will come in handle with all of those drives
