Question Z690 or B660

Would a Z690 motherboard be better equipped to run 24/7 vs a B660 because of having better capacitors? Or would both be about the same? I will be running this in a surveillance system I have that has been running for 6 years straight, and want to upgrade.

I stick with the Z series and can't comment on the B series. If it's just surveillance why upgrade of it's not broken?

I run mine 24/7 as well but with different functions as a router, switch, AP, NAS, DVR, etc.

Old. Slowing down. Higher CPU usage. One of my newer ones at a different site has more cameras and lower cpu usage. Just saying. I like to upgrade before I have to upgrade. Just my philosophy. Thanks.

I'm guessing you're using Windows? A quick solution would be switching to Linux instead with lower hw resources needed.

With rpl around the corner it might be worth waiting for though ADL would be perfectly fine as well if you want some tech longevity out of it. I'm running an ASRock steel legend as it was the best for for the buck with tech options.

Your question is meaningless if you're not comparing specific Motherboards (Sort of a premium, well geared B660 and a budget Z690).
