Z68 now or wait for Synergy?

Hey all, the only thing I have left on my build is my motherboard. I originally bought all my parts over a couple of months, and had originally gotten a Asus P67 board, but returned it to Microcenter for store credit, waiting for them to get Z68 boards in. It looks like it's going to be a while before they get any decent one's, so I was contemplating just going the newegg or Amazon route.

The thing is, I hear Nvidia Synergy is just around the corner and might make boards cost less, since it's free. I really have no need for the iGPU at the moment except to maybe lower heat/power/noise when not gaming, but from the Lucid reviews I've read, it doesn't actually turn off the dGPU or really affect it all when idle. Anyone think that synergy will work better or actually do the above?

So I went back and reread Anand's article on this. It sounds like maybe Synergy could be applied to existing boards when it comes out, since it seems it just requires a MB bios update and maybe Vbios update. I wonder though, if the board already has Virtu, could it also use Synergy. That's the big question. I'd like to pick up a Z68 board soon, but would be kinda PO'ed if Nvidia's solution worked better with their cards.
