Like the title says it. Is there a big enough difference to buy the $190 board over the Extreme 3 Gen3 at $130. Ill be putting a i5-2500k in this and might run sli/CF in the future.

I think the main difference are no floppy connection on Extreme3 Gen3 and it uses Realtek LAN,Extreme4 Gen3 has Broadcom BCM57781 LAN which is slightly better IMHO plus has 2 more SATA3 ports.

no display port; but doesn't matter much if you have a gpu.

Not that i can tell. It happily has my 2500K overclocked to 4.5Ghz.
