Im not having this issue with My X-Fi Fatal1ty In Vista. I have a 5.1 set, however when I go into the sound menu, and click configure on the Speakers device, it shows a menu with 2.1, Quadraphonic, 5.1 and 7.1 as choices. You should be using quadraphonic.

However thats probably the only issue X-Fi in Vista doesn't have. How Creative still manages to have the worst driver in the universe is completely mind boggling.

Im still waiting for my speakers to all actually play sound all the time. Randomly things sound OK when I just have background music on, then all of a sudden the center or right channel kicks in and I realize it was never on to begin with.... SWEEETTTNESS creative. Thank god I opted for an HT-Omega card for my media center. That thing rocks.
