Z5500 Speaker Cables Help

I've got this very old, first year Z5500 that is still using RCA connectors instead of speaker wire. A few of these cables have been severed(dog?) and I'm looking to replace them myself; but these cables seem to be connected INSIDE each speaker(I guess I have to take each apart). But does anyone know how they're connected inside and what kind of RCA cables I would need to buy?
