Ok well to cut a long story short, i realized they had fixed the Z5500 popping (more like booming) issue whenever someone screwed with the lights/other electrical thing nearby. I asked for a new set and they sent me one, they only requested that i send back the cables from the old set which i have done. But they just cant seem to get it right.... this new set dosent go boom, oh no, it has another problem altogether.

New set (PID R720): Constant BUZZ from the subwoofer, like a small refrigerator, not noticeable during the day but when your trying to sleep it has to be turned off at the back. Ok no biggie.... but it turns out that if you keep using the switch at the back of the sub to turn it off the fuse goes after a week.

Old set (PID R602): None of the above except it goes boom sometimes whenever someone screws with electrical goods. The common problem many have had.

Does anyone else have this annoying BUZZ from their new Z5500's?? A buzz that dosent go away even when the computer is off, you must flip the switch at the back of the sub to stop it. Also what the hell am i gonna do? Ask for a third set? Or pick the lesser of the two evils and live with it?

Re-warranty the system.

warranty programs operate by sending you refurbished products most of the time.

You most likely received another defective product.

It's most likely something internally that is only worth fixing by replacing the whole amplifier system on the back.

I had a problem with the system that was sent out to me, non of the inputs worked for the digital signals, so I had to RMA with warranty, and luckily got another working system on the first try. I work in a warranty center for phones and some phones probably get sent out to customers a total of 3 or 4 times before they are officially fixed. I know it's messed up, but you gotta live with it.

Damn... and here was me thinking it was incredibly nice of them to send me new speakers and let me keep the old ones lol.

I sent an email back to them saying nothing they suggested worked, told them the PID of the new set and my address, dont know what their next step is gonna be though.

What was the PID of your set? Could you hear any sort of buzzing? My old PID 602 sub buzzed but it was inaudible even during the night, you would have to press your ear right against it to hear anything at all. This new PID 720 one makes the exact same noise but much louder.
