z5500 not working properly

i just got ma z5500 yesterday...i am using an abit nf7-s mobo with soundstorm.i scrolled thru the topics but i didnt see anyone raising this problem.The sound thats coming out from the speakers is really bad.....I had to put ma bass level to the max and its onli equal to 2 bars of the z680 bass.this goes for the sound level as well.so i tried to take ma friends audigy2 nx to ma room and i plugged it in with the same results🙁 i tried the coax and also optical cables n stuff...all of them were detected(no coax on the sstorm though) but the sound that came out was really low as described above...im on the verge of going crazy here and sending these back for a new one(wich i really dont wanna do since its so heavy)...Any help guys or insight?pls pls🙂
