Do you remember a make/model/description of the driver? With a make/model and a partial plate, the police can usually come up with a good match. Just give them the numbers you're SURE of.

Some fvck rear-ended me, asked me if i was ok and if we should get out of the way of traffic... then he took off. I got a bad look at his license plate, which I tought was V39 5YN, but the police officer said that was no match in FL. I'm very surprised that in this age of computers that they can't search for a close match given that I supplied the color (black) and that it was a pickup truck. Is this true?

Next time I'm blocking traffic till the cop shows :\

Maybe it was a relative of the cop's? 🙂

I would say it was a tundra if I had to take a guess, the driver was a white male ~5'9". Can they do anything with a partial plate? The cop just put in what I tought it was, said nope and then we tried 3 alternatives.... maybe he didn't know how to use the computer well? He certainly new how to chat with someone, I saw him type "hey sexy how are you" while you was "doing my paperwork"...

blah...cops....

The cop is a moron I think. You don't do partial checks by running through in your little brain (I mean his) all the different possibilities. You do it by putting in the parts of the plate you're sure about and having the other characters a wildcard. Then a list of cars would come up (If I built the system), and you could then choose what sort of car on that list it was. Really though how did you get the plate (or most of it) and not get the make of the vehicle?

i didn't realize he was flooring it away from me until almost too late to see anything, so i guess my mind picked the plate

adrenaline does strange things

wow if he did that I would've floored it right after the douchebag to at least get the plate. Yes, yes I would.

btw, thanks for reminding me to set the quickbutton to activate the camera on my phone...

This is why you need to carry a sniper rifle in your car.

No, you need it to shoot out the tires of the soccer moms in their SUVs driving while talking on their cell phone.

And fvck that study, 5% nationwide my ass. That or Sacramento is definitely an outlier in the data.

if anyone ever runs on me, i'm going Burnout 3: Takedown on them. my old volvo can take a lot more damage than most cars. 😀
