Z-560's to Z-680's?

I've had my Logitech Z-560's for about 2 years now. I think its time to upgrade since my Abit NF7-S has optical out which I heard thats what really makes soundstorm shine. I was thinking of getting a set of Logitech Z-680's since it has optical in.

My question is. Is it worth the upgrade? I am giving this guy $109,120gb Maxtor and a couple DVD's. I will be getting $100 back for my current speakers and only having $9,HDD and DVD's in it. But if I ain't gonna see a difference I don't wanna bother.

I think the differences are the sexier control panel, the inputs, and a center channel.
Probably wouldn't be a huge increase in sound quality moving to the optical input from a decent analog audio cable.

I don't quite understand the second part of your post..
You're giving someone $109, a HD worth roughly $80, and DVDs worth however much.. for a used set of speakers costing about $220 new?
Or...?

yeah the HDD is worth about $50-$60 since its used and the DVD's ain't worth much to me at all. So should I pass? What are a set of speakers worth upgrading to that doesnt cost a arm and a leg?
