I think you guys are missing a few subtle points here.

But first, let me correct myself. The Epox board only has 3 32-bit/33MHz PCI slots.
Looking that the
official A7M266-D page, there is NO ONBOARD LAN. May I take one of your 32/33 PCI slots for that? Oh, NO ONBOARD USB. Lemme grab another PCI slot for the included USB 2.0 controller card. And, you want to use your snazzy sound card over the embedded one? Sure! NO MORE 32/33 PCI slots for you! I hope you weren't planning on a dual-head set-up with a PCI card. If any of you are enthusiasts, I'm sure you don't like being limited.
Also note that the 66/64 slots are keyed differently, so it may be unlikely, if not dangerous, to put any other 32/33 PCI card in one of those slots.
(Someone can step in, if my information is incorrect.)
I've only seen two MPX boards (the new Tyan Tiger and Iwill's offering) that have 4 32/33 PCI slots. If these boards ship with the USB-deficient southbridge, a PCI slot shortage could be headed your way as well.
I admit, I could be off, ... but I believe that the Epox board is the only one thus far to claim to have surmounted the USB issue (via a new southbridge revision or whatever). I'm hoping to find out in two weeks, according to an early shipping estimate. On top of that, the NIC is onboard, so that is a savings of two PCI slots since I won't have to add a NIC nor a USB controller. (BTW, I have 6+ USB devices, so the USB issue is very important to me.) Granted, my Santa Cruz may not need all of that extra room, but, hey, you never know!
