Fig Newtons and milk FTW!

Growing up as a young kid, I didn't like Newtons at all. Now I can sit down and eat the entire stack. :|

I love Fig Newtons too! I wonder about the nutritional value, as compared to the regular cookies. What is in them, that could possibly make them better than regular cookies. What good are figs?

I bought some cheapers Fig bars, as they were called. They weren't the same. BLAH. Give me Fig Newtons. :)

Figs are awesome. My grandparents used to have a fig tree in their backyard and my grandmother would make fig preserves. If you think fig newtons are good, you should try a peanut butter and fig preserve sandwich with a tall glass of milk...mmm...

My weakness for sweets has gotten worse as I've gotten older. Nowdays, I don't turn down any dessert. When I was younger, I used to think coconut cake and pecan pie were also nasty.

Now I gobble everything down. Oh the joys of getting older and slower metabolism. :(

Newton's not a cookie. A Newton's fruit and cake.

Oo-ee, gooey, rich and chewy inside.
Golden, flaky, tender cakey outside.
Wrap the inside in the outside.
Is it good?
Darn Tootin' Doin' the Big FIG NEWTON, the big FIG NEWTON

I poured a nice glass of milk & in the very first bite of the very first fig in a new package, there was this little ladybug sized critter; tough & crispy. I got past it & on the third fig, there was another. I'm still hungry but I have no appetite. How can that be?
