I haven't been too impressed with Pyramid so far. I'd put it right there with Flying Dog. Just OK. I'm more impressed with Redhook. Sierra Nevada makes some excellent beers though. Celebration Ale is one of my favorites.

I thought Yuengling was burning to the ground a few weeks ago, came home from work to the see half of Pottsville in smoke. Turned out to be some buildings across the street. I'm only two blocks away.

Pic! That would be the Yuengling plant with the flags and trucks backed into the loading bays. That's the old Yuengling Ice Cream plant across the street. Think it was created durin prohibition? Hell I forget why... :)

:Q someone from pottsville!!

my grandparents live in pottsville. we took a tour of the brewery and my mom's old high school 2 summers ago.

Well to be honest the only Pyramid I drink frequently is the Hefeweizen. I can just sit on my ass all day and drink that stuff. I had finally found a six pack of Sierra Nevada Stout and was going to buy it, but then at the checkout counter I noticed I didn't have my ID. Now the store doesn't have it anymor e :-(

Anchor is the best California brewery IMO

Since I have access to excellent German Hefe's, I avoid American. We have a local (Boulevard) American Wheat that is as good as any so I'll drink that if I want American Wheat.

I have to admit, Anchor Liberty is my favorite craft brewed Pale Ale.
